# What You’ll Need:
→ Vegetables
01 - 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into 2-inch sticks
→ Glaze
02 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
03 - 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
04 - 2 tbsp bourbon whiskey
05 - 1 tbsp light brown sugar
06 - 1/2 tsp kosher salt
07 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
→ Garnish
08 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
# Step-by-Step Guide:
01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add carrots and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until just tender but still firm. Drain and set aside.
02 - Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in maple syrup, bourbon, brown sugar, salt, and pepper until the sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles, about 2 minutes.
03 - Add drained carrots to the skillet. Toss to coat thoroughly. Cook, stirring frequently, for 8 to 10 minutes until glaze thickens and carrots are glossy and caramelized.
04 - Transfer carrots to a serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
