01 - Combine rolled oats and water or milk in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
02 - Transfer cooked oats to a serving bowl. Top evenly with mixed fresh berries and add a dollop of almond butter.
03 - Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the bowl, if desired. Serve warm immediately.
