03 - Place the peppermint candies tightly packed in a circle on the prepared baking sheet, forming a flat disc approximately 8 to 9 inches in diameter with edges touching and no gaps.
04 - Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, monitoring closely until the candies melt and fuse together without browning.
05 - Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 1 minute until the candy is pliable but safe to handle, using oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves.
