01 - Place oats, chocolate chips, candy-coated chocolate pieces, chia seeds (if using), and salt in a large mixing bowl.
02 - In a separate bowl, blend peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and protein powder until smooth.
03 - Transfer the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly with a spatula or hands until well combined.
04 - Scoop out portions using a tablespoon and roll each into compact balls.
05 - Set formed balls onto a parchment-lined baking tray.
06 - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until the balls firm up.
07 - Transfer chilled balls to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
