01 - In a mixing bowl, blend mascarpone, cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until thick and smooth, using an electric mixer or whisk. Avoid overbeating.
02 - Combine cooled strong coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish. Set aside.
03 - Rapidly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1 to 2 seconds per side. Do not oversaturate.
04 - Break dipped ladyfingers as needed and arrange two halves at the base of each of 6 small cups or jars (about 6 oz/180 ml each).
05 - Spoon a generous portion of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and finish with more cream, smoothing the surfaces.
06 - Dust each cup with unsweetened cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
07 - Write 'RIP' or spooky messages on chocolate cookies using black food gel or melted dark chocolate.
08 - Insert one decorated cookie upright into each cup as a gravestone. Garnish with candy bones or gummy worms if desired.
09 - Refrigerate cups for at least 2 hours before serving to set.
