01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

03 - In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar using an electric mixer or whisk until the mixture becomes light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
04 - Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by stirring in vanilla extract.
05 - Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing only until just combined.
06 - Gently fold in rolled oats, chopped dates, and chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
07 - Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing each portion about 2 inches apart.
08 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cookie edges are golden and the centers are set.
09 - Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
