- Slider Assembly: 12 soft slider buns or dinner rolls 250 g (about 9 oz) sliced cooked ham 150 g (about 5 oz) sliced Swiss or cheddar cheese 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional) 2 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard (optional)
- Topping: 50 g (3.5 tbsp) unsalted butter melted 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional) ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp onion powder Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a 23x33 cm (9x13-inch) baking dish.
- Step 2:
- Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact. Place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
- Step 3:
- Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the buns, if using. Layer half the cheese, then all the ham, then the remaining cheese over the buns.
- Step 4:
- Place the bun tops over the layers.
- Step 5:
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, honey or brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
- Step 6:
- Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
- Step 7:
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes, until the tops are golden and cheese is melted.
