01 - In a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic, stirring frequently, until the beef is well browned and the onion is soft.
02 - Add crushed tomatoes and red wine to the skillet. Stir well, season with salt and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and allow the sauce to simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
03 - Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well.
04 - Arrange the cooked spaghetti on serving plates and spoon the hot meat sauce over the top. Serve immediately.
